I just want to wish everyone a very safe and happy new year!

I can’t believe an entire decade has passed and although it’s been wonderful, I’m looking forward to a new and exciting 2010.

Hope all of your dreams come true not only in this new and upcoming year but far beyond!

How to Block Blingee

I have seen MULTIPLE friends on Facebook complaining about a new application that seems to be literally invading everyone’s wall on Facebook.

Farmville SecretsIt’s called Blingee and it’s a flash-based card; as in Christmas card, New Years Card, Birthday Card…you get the picture.  If you use the application and “allow” it like many of us do with most applications, Blingee will evidently post things to your wall (now, to come clean, this is heresy – I haven’t had it happen to me – maybe that’s because I’ve already blocked it – heh) – one person in particular referred to it as “wall graffiti” and yes, it’s even been referred to as spam.

I have not personally noticed this but know plenty of people who have, some very well known and respected.

So if this is you, and you’re sick of Blingee posting to your wall (and even if you haven’t been blessed with this application yet :-) ), here’s how you can block it yourself so that A) if it’s posting to your wall, you can stop it or B) you can prevent it from happening to you in the first place.

While you’re signed into Facebook, visit http://www.facebook.com/apps/block.php?id=3447538274&action=block&source=about

Once you’re there, you’ll see this:

Block Blingee

Block Blingee

And then just click “block”.

After you click “block” you are “conveniently taken to their application page – but just navigate off and you should be good to go and should not see anything further from Blingee.

Now, go enjoy a clean wall on Facebook.

Farmville. Farmville?

Ok, I really don’t mean any disrespect to ANYONE but this whole Farmville craze has me giggling because I live in Iowa and have never seen people so crazy over farming (aside from real honest-to-goodness farmers).  I never knew how fanatical people who use the Farmville Facebook app were!

I’ve got friends who are literally addicted to it and … well, I just had to see what all of the fuss was about.  And did you know that there are actually guides to Farmville?

So I finally started (I know I’m way late) and haven’t developed it much (yet) but I truly am fascinated at how many people are using Farmville; so much so I see posts like:

  • Hey, I found a lonely pink cow.
  • Hey, I found a lonely calf!
  • Another one found white mystery eggs.
  • Hey, I have neighbors!  I’m going to be so p*****.

And did you know that there are over 72 MILLION active users on Farmville?!  That’s unreal to me.

So anyhow, thought you might want to know that if you’re like me and have no idea what you’re doing at Farmville, you might want to check out one of these guides.    (See below)

I’m looking to get one of these just so I don’t fall too far behind (when I actually have the time to use the application.)

I’m already way behind and am hoping one of these will help me get it all figured out.  So I’m hoping it will help you too.

Maybe I’ll see you there!

You can click on any of the images below to visit the individual guides.
