I have experienced more spam (quite a bit more actually) since adding the “do follows” but I also expected it and put measures in place to prevent it as much as I could.

Remember though that there is another potential problem. Some bloggers have experienced massive influxes of spam to their blogs when they do-followed their links. Most of mine are no-follow and have anti-spam plugins installed because I find I get hit with so much.

Have you noticed a rise in blog spam sicnce you went dofollow?

I understand that people are afraid of big bad Google coming along and stripping away their green pixels in the toolbar if they follow, but everyone is so quick to give in to what they think G wants it’s crazy.

I like following and sharing the link love …. and CommentLuv is one of my favorite plugins. I feel like I’m rewarding my visitors with that link, and I like seeing at a glance what everyone is talking about when I look at my own pages.
